Seven Churches Bombed in Iraq
In the explosion at Saint Maskinta Church in Mosul, the bomb destroyed the external wall of the church and caused panic among children and nuns inside where the church had an orphanage for girls. �I�m very upset. That the explosions went off at the same time proves that this was part of a plan,� said Mosul�s Chaldean archbishop, Farac Raho, on the TV channel Ishtar, according to the Assyrian International News Agency (AINA). �Both our Muslim brothers and we had just celebrated Eid and Christmas at the same time this year and everything went well,� he said, referring to the Gregorian calendar still used by the Eastern Orthodox Church where Christmas and New Year fall on a later date. �But the opposition has never really stopped pointing their weapons at us�Iraq�s government must immediately act against violence directed towards us Christians,� the archbishop pleaded.

The WHOIS database is one of the great farms from which spammers harvest e-mail addresses, so many domain owners intentionally put in false contact information. Even the other contact information is often false out of privacy concerns. This information is usually separate from the registrar's billing database; while false information in the contact records usually violates registrar policy, as long as they get paid they usually look the other way. And it's not illegal to put false contact information in a WHOIS record, although there has been some talk in Congress of making it so. .
RHS advice for the garden
Try taking cuttings of dogwoods, willows, poplars, deciduous buddleias, roses, mock orange, hydrangea, forsythia and ceanothus, but not during severe frosts. Select healthy, pencil-thick shoots that have grown last year - often identifiable by the bud at the tip of the shoot. Remove this tip and cut the shoot into sections 15cm-30cm (6in-12in) in length. Make a clean, sloping cut above a bud at the top, then a straight cut across the base just below a bud. Dip the straight end in a rooting hormone. Push a spade into the soil and wiggle it back and forth to open a slit. Repeat to lengthen the slit into a trench. Put a little sand in the trench and insert the cuttings straight-end down and so that two-thirds is below ground. Firm the soil back around the cuttings. Successful cuttings should begin to grow in the spring.

On a very practical level, one of the early milestones I recall on the journey was suddenly being able to figure out, while listening to rapidly spoken Arabic, where one word ended and the next one began. I didn't necessarily know what the words meant, but at least I could figure out what they were! Research was also difficult because people, wondering why a foreigner would travel all the way to Egypt to study the role of music in the mystical experience, and not finding any satisfactory answer, would imagine all sorts of ulterior motives. Or they'd fear that cooperating with a foreigner (an American at that) would bring some sort of musiba (Arabic for "catastrophe") upon them. Or, being poor, they'd be too busy trying to make ends meet. Or, being poor, they'd seek to use me as a means of making ends meet.

Javier Lopez, RP (-2.9 BRAA)Again, ran into (and was responsible for) the buzzsaw of game two. But he did work a perfect inning in game six (0.55 BRAA). Manny Delcarmen, RP (-3.68 BRAA)The above BRAA number is greatly hurt by his home run allowed to Jhonny Peralta in game four. He is still a trustworthy arm, though, as referenced by his lights-out game two performance (0.57 BRAA): two batters, two strikeouts. Maritimes sail best under winds of Atlantica
Indeed, he describes it as "a blind stumble through the long term" toward impossible and irrelevant economic goals. Canadian governments have tried repeatedly to transform the Maritimes "into miniature versions of Central Canada," he says. "[Yet] all attempts to turn the Maritimes into either a mini-Ontario or a mini-Canada have met with failure." The Maritime provinces now need to look backward to find their future - backward to "the historical Atlantica." Only in their transnational origin, he says, will they discover their "natural economy," an economy driven forward by "the forces of history." In this new analysis - titled Historical Atlantica and published by the Halifax-based Atlantic Institute for Market Studies - Prof. Neill tells Canadians to stop comparing the Maritimes to Ontario or, for that matter, to the rest of Canada.
